Astwell Mill is situated in the County of Northamptonshire,
one mile from each of the two villages fo Helmdon and Wappenham.
For information on Helmdon visit www.helmdon.co.uk
Wappenham is a small pretty village increasingly being known
as the early home of Gilbert Scott (designer of the Albert
Memorial). Several houses in the village, including the now
privatised rectory, are attributed to him. The church was
reorded by him and the simple Altar has designs similar to
some of those in the memorial. There are picturesque walks
around the village which also boasts a shop and post office
which are becoming rarer in this part of the country.
